the Raika trousers
the Raika trousers
The Raika trousers—cut in wide, generous lines—are sewn from 100 % cotton whose natural hollow fibres seem to hold the wind itself, breathing with every step you take through the shifting warmth of a summer’s day. At 260 g they carry the dry, sun-bleached weight of wheat straw: substantial enough to drape, light enough for the height of summer.
The colour is drawn from the quiet end of the earth’s palette: a khaki brown-green that recalls moss creeping across an old garden wall or leaves drifting to the hushed bottom of a forest stream. It is the soundless marriage of soil and foliage, distilled into cloth.
The cut is classic and minimal—wide-legged, never clinging, granting every stride its own unhurried rhythm.
The Raika trousers is, as it were, versatile. Black, white, grey, ochre, olive—nothing is forbidden.
In high summer they temper even the most urban silhouette with a whisper of wilderness. Come autumn, slip them beneath a green trench and feel the hush of rain-soaked pines. When winter arrives, wrap them in a thick wool coat and become the softest gleam in a landscape of frost and fog.
